About Us

Boy Scout Troop 350 in Raleigh, NC was chartered in 1987 and recharters each January. The troop currently consists of 55 registered Scouts and 23 registered adult Scouters. We currently have four patrols. Our troop follows the BSA prescribed format, which means the youth members plan and implement the program. Our troop is run by a Patrol Leaders Council (PLC) headed up by the Senior Patrol Leader (SPL). Our Scoutmaster and assistant Scoutmasters work with the PLC and the patrols to ensure a quality program.

Troop 350 offers year-round camping opportunities. The troop goes on at least one camping trip each month and some months we have more than one opportunity. Each summer, we offer an intermediate class high adventure trip within the state of North Carolina and neighboring states like Virginia. We also offer an advanced Scout high adventure trek to far off places like Canada or the western United States.

Troop 350 has consistently earned Quality Unit awards for its program and the Scouts in our troop receive one of the highest levels of rank and merit badge awards in our district. Since our sponsor is a church, our Troop frequently provides unparalleled service projects and outreach opportunities for Scouts and their families.

If you are looking for adventure, challenge, and a good time; if you are not afraid of a little hard work and discipline, then Troop 350 is the place to be! Visitors are always welcome.

When we meet

Troop 350 meets every Tuesday night starting at 7:00 PM at Asbury United Methodist Church. We meet for an hour and a half, and in that time the scouts work on merit badges, finish rank advancement requirements, and have a good time. One of the purposes of our troop is to provide boys with a friendly learning environment that is more relaxed than school, yet still teaches basic values, and ways to interact with others. Our goal is for every scout in our troop to leave with more knowledge than when he arrived.

Directions

Troop 350 meets in the Life Ministries building at Asbury United Methodist Church.
