The starting and ending point is Lassiter Mill Historic Park on Lassiter Mill Road 

What to Bring:

    Be prepared for all types of weather
    Work Gloves
    Water Bottle

Trash Bags will be provided

Emergency Prep Drill NCSU & FBI

Where: NCSU
When: August 8th 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Arrive at 7:30 am, reporting to the first parking lot on the right on Wolf Village Way (look for a sign referencing Operation Red Alert).GPS Coordinates of the lot ( 35.786860, -78.686482 )

The only access that morning will be from Gorman Street. One of our staff will be there to direct them where to go when they arrive. Pick up will be at the same location tentatively starting at 2pm.

All participants are required to check in and attend the safety briefing. After this, our staff and the FBI will provide individual instructions and stage them.

April 28th 

Beautification Day at Asbury United Methodist Church

Scouts, please come and help out our Chartering Organization AUM with a service project
This also counts for Service Hours which are very needed for every rank advancement!

Volunteers are needed to spread mulch & straw, possible pull weeds, wash, plant flowers, trim bushes and trees, and do other general yard work as directed. 

Please bring yard tools and work gloves from home. Work begins at 8:30am. 
8:30 a.m. until 12
Mulch the playground at Asbury UMC
Bring gloves and water

Rise Against Hunger - 3/24/2018

We will be having an initial meal packaging event at the Rise Against Hunger Raleigh Warehouse in advance of our May date to package 60K meals onSaturday, March 24 from 9am - noon. We're hoping for at least 200 volunteers and we wanted to invite the scouts to join us as we work hard to end world hunger.

Backpack Buddies 2/23

Service event: Back Pack Buddies for Asbury United Methodist Church

Event Day - Friday, Feb. 23rd
Pick up food at loading dock of Kroger at Creedmoor and Strickland and deliver to Asbury
Unload food and assist with setting food out on tables for assembly of bags of food for school children the next day. Class B uniform. 

6:30 p.m. until done - meet at Asbury finish at Asbury.
1 - 2 hours depending on amount of help

Minimum two leaders needed and vehicles that can transport food.

William B. Umstead State Park

8am-noon

Cleaning up leaves and brush from around and underneath historic cabins at the park.

Meet at the park Visitors Center at 8:00

Dress appropriately for the weather 

Things to Bring:
  • Bring work gloves
  • Water Bottle
  • Snack


Sign ups close at 12/12/17 at 11pm.
