Annual Planning Meeting Minutes: Led by Alex Smith
Saturday May 17, 2014 9:15AM - 1PM
Falls Lake - Beaverdam

Ideas for campouts:
Norfolk, Whitewater rafting center (Charlotte), biking, ski trip, caving, camping for fun, rock climbing, shooting, coast guard, beach, bear island, shoe box, church retreat, possum hollow- compasses, pioneering- table, cook off, Webelos Invitational, emergency prep. merit badge, camporee, historical, backpacking, week-long summer campout (not summer camp), zipline, high ropes/cope.

Patrols can plan and go on a non-troop campout - must have 2 adult leaders.
campouts planned:
October '14 - Rock Climbing, pilot mountain, (24-26)
November '14 - Webelos inv., Durant, climbing tower, (7-9)
December '14 - None
January '15 - Ski trip, snowshoe, (23-25)
February '15 - Possum Hollow, pioneering, (13-15)
March '15 - shooting, Durham wildlife center, (13-15)
April '15 - Camp for fun, Falls Lake, (24-26)
May '15 - Coast Guard/beach, fort macon, (29-31)
June '15 - Rafting, NC Whitewater center, (12-14)
July '15 - summer camp, (3-5)
August '15 - Boat Day, (14-16)
September - Biking, Virginia Creeper, (11-13)

Service Projects:
One service project a year should be for the church
All scouts should do 15 hours of service per year
days available for service projects: July 19, August 9, Sept. 13 - Greenway, November 22, February 7 (2015)

June 21 - Greenway cleanup
Greenway cleanup every quarter of the year
service project ideas:
summer - Jeffreys Grove playground
